Can the Platte Valley Cellular Department do everything the Verizon Retail Center can?
With very few exceptions, the answer is YES. We can add new lines, do equipment upgrades, change rate plans, sell prepaid phones and lines, replenish prepaid minutes and we can even receive payments for your cellular service. One of the exceptions is that we have limited access your account information.
When will Verizon Wireless and Alltel be fully merged?
Alltel and Verizon Wireless are now officially merged. This means that all Alltel customers in this region are now part of the Verizon Wireless network. Your Alltel bill will remain the same until you make changes to your account. In addition, previous Alltel customers are still using the Alltel voicemail system, and will be converted to the Verizon Wireless voicemail system in the coming months.
Is Platte Valley Communications a part of Verizon Wireless?
No, Platte Valley Communications is an authorized agent for Verizon Wireless. We provide almost all the services that the Verizon Wireless Retail Centers do, but we are an independent company.
Why does Platte Valley Communications charge a fee for troubleshooting a cellular phone even if it is not repairable?
We receive no monthly revenue from phone usage, no subsidy from the Cellular companies for repair, and no payments for technical work except from the customers we serve. Therefore in order to maintain our technical staff we must charge for any time they use in troubleshooting.
